| Freedom Traditional Academy (FTA) is a kindergarten through 8th grade “school of choice” where the learning is accelerated and the instruction is back to basics. Freedom Traditional Academy’s language arts program is based on the Spalding Method using The Writing Road to Reading. In addition, Spanish will be offered to all K-8 students. 7th and 8th grade students will have the opportunity to receive high school credit in Spanish. All students will work one year above grade level in Saxon math. 8th grade students will have the opportunity to receive high school credit in English and Math. FTA has a uniform policy, uses Character Counts for character education, and emphasizes patriotism and citizenship. Additionally, there are high expectations that grades, behavior, and attendance be maintained. Open in 2019, our vision is to prepare all students to be successful, productive citizens and lifelong learners. We are committed to providing a well-rounded educational experience in which students develop great citizenship and achieve academic excellence through rigorous, accelerated, and purposeful curriculum while supported by an engaged and involved family community. Additional Benefits Information Staff can earn up to an additional $4,900 in performance measures. Hard-to-fill stipends up to $3,000 and years or service stipends may be additional funding when available. As a Dysart staff member, you are our most valuable asset. We are committed to providing you with the most competitive and cost-effective benefits programs possible. You are eligible for benefits if you are a Certified employee working full time in either a contracted .5 FTE or 1.0 FTE position, or if you are a classified employee working 6 or more hours in one position. Benefits are effective depending on the position or contracted start date. If this date is from the 1st - 15th of the month, benefits are effective the 1st of the following month.
