Welcome to Belmont Middle School!
Belmont Middle School is part of the Shaker Regional School District, located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. It is our intent to meet each student's individual needs as best we can.

The mission of Belmont Middle School is to provide a safe and respectful developmentally appropriate learning environment with high expectations that fosters diverse and balanced academics, social and emotional needs while recognizing a partnership between home, school and community.

To utilize the data gathered from a variety of sources to create academic interventions to best meet the needs of all students. School-wide screening will be taken by all students in Grades 5-8 in the areas of Language Arts and Math. The strengths and weaknesses will then be identified to best ensure that instruction is modified for each student so that their individual academic needs are addressed.

To expose students to community service projects and teach them the importance of helping others. Belmont Middle School will continue the tradition of emphasizing the importance of community service for all, through programs such as the Gobble Wobble Food Drive, assistance for families in need, the Jump Rope for Heart, and more.

To increase parent/teacher/student/administration communication. As a staff we will continue to explore every possible scenario to increase parent/teacher/student/administration collaborative communication.

To continue an emphasis on literacy. Belmont Middle School will explore all avenues to increase 1-1 and small group interactions for the benefit of literacy growth for all students. In addition, reading workshop, Title I summer school, creatively addressing instructional time through changes in the schedule and increasing parent involvement, are but a few ideas for advancing literacy instruction/learning.

To explore all avenues to ensure student success on the SAS testing. Staff, students and parents will work together to ensure that our students understand the importance of the SAS testing and make every possible adjustment to ensure that students are successful on the SASs.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider, employer, and lender.
